Dear Guest, First of all we would like to thank you for your booking and look forward to welcoming you to Berwick-Upon-Tweed. Due to the current circumstances, we are sending you an email to inform you of the changes and measures that we have put into place to keep everyone as safe as possible in line with current guidance thereby increasing social distancing and reducing touch points. Please can you contact us with a 30 minute window for your arrival time after 4pm. This gives us enough time for a deep clean and airing of our rooms prior to your arrival and also allows a staggered arrival of guests for distancing purposes. We have also been advised to ask all guests to wear a face covering on arrival for communal areas such as the hallway and stairs. These are not required in your bedrooms or the dining room. At check in we will run through a slightly different breakfast routine, eating privately, staircase etiquette and payment procedure. In rooms we have removed additional soft furnishings as much as possible and taken extra care to reduce touch points. Hospitality trays have less volume to reduce contact and excessive waste. Please just request more when you need them. Unfortunately we have had to make the decision to stop daily room servicing until current guidance changes. We can, however, leave clean towels and tray refreshments by your door each day, if requested. Finally, if you or any accompanying guest shows symptoms just before or during your stay, please follow current guidelines - stay at home and self isolate. Please let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to complete your stay. We are very sorry that we cannot offer you all of the usual pleasantries when you come to stay with us. We do hope that you will still enjoy getting away though and are looking forward to your visit. To Do: • Let us know your arrival time window. • Wear a face covering for check in please. Thank you Yours Sincerely, Ian and Ruth Ballard
